VIRGINA BEACH, Va. – Winning the men's 5K title, James Lawrence led a pack of three Ramblers in the top-6 during the 2025 Atlantic 10 Track and Field Indoor Championships on Friday at the Virginia Beach Sports Center. Multiple other Ramblers turned in strong performances on day one of the league championships.
Lawrence's time of 14:07.52 paced him to the podium's top spot. Behind him in third was Jake Phillips with a time of 14:15.37. Cael Mulholland finished sixth at 14:22.19.
On the women's side of the 5K championship, Ali Gillooly took fifth overall with a new PR (17:05.52). Madison Perez was behind her with a time of 19:09.69.
The men's DMR team of Izak Bibile, Jack Slaughter, Samuel Field, and Gabe Smit clocked the seventh-fastest time in school history, taking fifth with their time of 9:56.15. Their time currently ranks 59th in the nation this season.
As an individual, Field qualified for tomorrow's men's 800m finals with a time of 1:54.45. He won his heat and finished second overall.
Meanwhile, Grace Kuhn, Jo Collins, Alessandra Rodriguez, and Emma Watcke took seventh on the women's side of the DMR finals at 12:02.35.
