PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. – Loyola Chicago men's golf teed off 2025-26 at Golfweek Challenge, tying for ninth in a field of 13 teams.
The Ramblers finished -8 over the three rounds with a score of 856 (288-279-289).
"I'm proud of how the guys competed in our first event of the year," said head coach Peter Pougnet. "As a team, we played 48 good holes and just need to work on closing the event. Dori and Charlie really carried us this week with rounds under par. Congrats to Charlie who shot a career best. As a whole, we did a really good job and will continue to improve. Excited for next week."
Dori Lee led the Ramblers with a 16
th place finish. He scored 211 (69-72-70) to go five-under-par. He led the Ramblers after the first round and reclaimed the team's top spot after another under-par third round.
Charlie Kulwin trailed by a stroke with a score of 212 (73-65-74). His second-round score of 65 marked a new personal best. Kulwin led Loyola with 15 birdies.
Sebastian Kasun posted an even score after the three rounds, 216 (74-70-72). He tied for 43
rd on the player leaderboards.
Ryan Walsh and
Jackson Overton wrapped up the team play. Walsh tied for 54
th with a score of 220 (72-73-75), while Overton took 64
th with a score of 223 (78-72-73).
The Ramblers stay local next week at the Highlands Invitational in Westcheter, Ill.
