CHICAGO — The Loyola University Chicago men's and women's track teams will compete in the Meyo Invitational and Chicago Collegiate Invitational this weekend.

The prestigious Meyo Invitational, hosted by Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana, begins Friday at the Loftus Center. Loyola will race in the women's distance medley relay at 5 p.m. CT and the men's 5,000 meters at 7:10 p.m.

Saturday's events start at 9 a.m. with the men's and women's 3,000 meters, followed by the 800 meters. The mile runs are scheduled for noon. Another afternoon session begins at 1:30 p.m., featuring the 800 meters and mile races. The men's and women's Meyo miles are slated for approximately 1:50 p.m., with the 3,000 meters invitationals concluding the day around 2:10 p.m.

Back in Chicago at the Dr. Conrad Worrill Track and Field Center, the Ramblers will race in the women's mile at 1:40 p.m., the women's 800 meters at 3:05 p.m., and the men's 3,000 meters around 4 p.m.

Last weekend, Loyola posted strong results at the Notre Dame Invite, highlighted by multiple personal records and top-10 marks in program history. James Howell led the men with a win in the 1,000 meters in 2:26.26, the eighth-fastest time in school history. Lindsey Kiehl set a personal record of 2:59.05 in the women's 1,000 meters, ranking 10th all time. Roisin Treacy posted a personal-best 4:47.63 in the mile, good for fifth in program history, while Francesco Benelli finished third in the men's 3,000 meters.
