CHICAGO — To start their 2026-27 season, the Loyola Chicago women's golf team heads to Kewadin, Michigan to participate in the A-Ga-Ming Invitational on Sep. 6-7. 

The tournament will be held at the par-72, 6,000-yard Sundance Course at the A-Ga-Ming Golf Resort. Players are set to tee off with a shotgun start on Sunday at 8:00 a.m. (CT) and will play the first two rounds continuously. The event's third and final round will be played on Labor Day with players teeing off again at 8:00 a.m. (CT). 

Loyola will be joined in the 13-team event by host Central Michigan, Oakland, Detroit Mercy, Murray State, Western Michigan, Bellarmine, Wisconsin-Green Bay, Bowling Green, Ohio, Bradley, Chicago State, and Indiana State.

The 2025 A-Ga-Ming Invitational was won as a team by Bowling Green, who ended with a score of +9, while the tournament was won as an individual by Bowling Green's Addison Kartusch with a score of -11. The Ramblers finished the 13-team event in sixth place with a score of +46.

Head Coach Brandy Johnston is back for her fifth season in charge of Loyola and is looking to build off the Ramblers' runner-up finish at the 2026 Atlantic 10 Women's Golf Championship. 

Johnston's first lineup of the season will consist of juniors Grace Hui and Madison Haugen, sophomores Maureen O'Leary and Robbin Zetrouer, and freshman Brooke Adams. Freshman Sofia Afable will also be playing this weekend as an individual. 

Junior Grace Hui headlines the returning Ramblers this year after ending her sophomore season with a runner-up individual finish at the 2026 Atlantic 10 Women's Golf Championship, while sophomore Robbin Zetrouer will look to provide a spark to Loyola after transferring from Saint Francis this past summer, where she was the team leader in scoring average as a freshman.
