WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Loyola Chicago's
Emily Rossi was named the Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Week, per the league's announcement on Monday afternoon, after registering six points in the Ramblers' 2-0 week. It marks the first weekly conference honor of her career.
Rossi, a redshirt sophomore out of Glen Ellyn, Ill., scored a brace in the Ramblers' 4-1 victory against the VCU Rams (Oct. 19), including the equalizer and the game-winner. It marked the second two-goal game of her career. She also netted the game-winner in Loyola's 2-1 comeback win at Duquesne for her first goal of the season (Oct. 16). Rossi started both matches and played a combined 158 minutes.
Up next, Loyola hosts Rhode Island on Thursday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. for senior day before hitting the road to Saint Louis for the regular season finale on Sunday, Oct. 26 at 12:30 p.m.
