SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Loyola University Chicago men's cross country team finished second Friday at the National Catholic Invitational, hosted by Notre Dame at Burke Golf Course. Additionally, the women's team placed fourth.

Hayden Healey paced Loyola in the men's 8K, clocking a personal-best 24:14.6 to place sixth overall in his debut for the Maroon and Gold. Nate Boutin followed in eighth with a PR of 24:22.9, while Woody Jerome also cracked the top 10 at 24:27.0.

Izak Bibile (25:03.4) and Colby Revord (25:10.9) were next across the line for the Ramblers, with Aidan Collins (26:23.8) and Kyle Knutson (27:01.7) closing out the men's squad.

On the women's side, Bárbara Neiva led Loyola in the 5K with a 17:55.6. Angy Salado Fernandez was next in 18:24.5, followed by Priscilla Ravera, who set a PR at 18:46.7.

Kayla Schmidt (18:48.2) finished fourth for the Ramblers, with Jo Collins (18:56.2, PR) and Frances Perry (19:04.3, PR) close behind. Claire Blotnik (19:21.6), Mackenzie Armstrong (19:25.7) and Lindsey Kiehl (19:28.7) rounded out Loyola's lineup.

The Ramblers are next in action Friday, Oct. 3 at the Sean Earl Loyola Lakefront Invitational on Sydney R. Marovitz Golf Course.
