WASHINGTON – Loyola Chicago's Allison Deardorff is named the Atlantic 10 Defender of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon. She helped the Ramblers post two clean sheets last week.
 
This marks her first weekly honor of the season and eighth of her career.
 
Deardorff made two starts in goal for the Ramblers, helping them to two scoreless draws against Northwestern and DePaul. The draw against the Wildcats is the first point earned against NU since the 2006 season, while the draw vs. DePaul extends an unbeaten streak against the Blue Demons to six matches.
 
The Itasca, Ill. native recorded a season-high eight saves on 19 shots faced in Evanston and then made two more stops at home vs. DePaul.
 
Deardorff and the Ramblers will play a pair of matches on the road this week. First up, Loyola heads to NIU on Sept. 13 for a 7 p.m. kick off.
