How It Happened
The two teams played 70 minutes of scoreless soccer until Diego Nunez posted a chip shot over the keeper for the lone goal of the match. The tally was assisted by Oliver Posarelli.

The Rambler's best chance came in the 44
th minute when junior
Aidan Megally's header was saved by Marquette goalkeeper Alec Wons. The shot on goal came from roughly 11m out.
Freshman
Fabian Becerra registered a shot in the 84
th minute that Marquette keeper Jackson Weyman kept out of the back of the net. The play would be the Rambler's last official shot on goal of the evening.
Loyola got two quick shots off in the 88
th and 89
th minute, but the effort ultimately fell short as the Golden Eagles ran out the clock with the score advantage in their favor.
Looking At The Numbers
-Marquette finished the tilt with a 13-8 shot advantage.
-Freshmen
Tomas Dias and
Billy Hency led the way with two shots apiece, while the Ramblers had three members get a shot on net.
-Each team registered three shots on goal, giving Marquette the 3-2 save advantage.
-In a relatively physical contest, the teams combined for 20 fouls (12 committed by Loyola) with no cards issued.
