In Short...
A penalty kick goal, as a result of a hand ball in the box, was the difference in the match. Vuk Latinovich's goal in the 68th minute was the only shot that saw the back of the net Tuesday night at Loyola Soccer Park.
How it Happened
The Panthers compiled a couple of shot attempts early in the first half, but it was senior
Fabian Lifka that registered the first shot on goal with a free kick in the 15th minute. In addition to Lifka's shot, the Ramblers had a handful of chances early on, such as senior
Tucker Stephenson getting a chance on a semi-breakaway off a turnover. The 42nd minute shot went wide and went in the books as the second shot of the half for the Ramblers.
Junior goalkeeper
Josh Lagudah was kept busy in the second half. He made a relatively comfortable save in the 53rd minute on an uncontested shot from 23 yards out. Moments later, he made another save in the 60th minute to keep the contest scoreless.
However, the ice-breaker came in the 68th minute on a penalty kick goal that beat Lagudah to his right. The action quieted down momentarily until Lagudah made a wide-angle save in the 75th minute to complete his three-save night.
Junior
Aidan Megally and freshman
Billy Hency both posted shot attempts in the final three minutes of the match, but the clock ran out after Hency's header went wide in the Ramblers' last attempt to tie things up.
