Women’s Soccer Completes 2025 Roster

CHICAGO – As the 2025 season approaches, Loyola Chicago completed its women's soccer roster with the addition of Audrey Williams, a graduate student transfer from Portland State.

"We are thrilled to welcome Audrey to our Loyola family," said head coach Jon Sandoval. "She adds a high level of experience and depth into the back line. Audrey's competitive nature and approach to training is contagious. Her ability to impact the game in multiple ways and her commitment to excellence makes her a great fit.

Williams, a Salem, Ore. native, comes to Loyola after two seasons at Portland State where she was a mainstay in the Vikings' lineup. In her junior campaign, Williams started all 18 matches, ranking third on the team in minutes played (1,427). The 5-foot-6 defender was a versatile and dependable presence on the pitch, totaling five points on two goals and one assist, including a game-winning strike. She tallied nine shots, including three on target and played the full 90 minutes in 10 matches. Williams sat the majority of her senior season due to injury but saw action in three matches, recording a season-high 71 minutes against Oregon (8/18/24).

Prior to her time as a Viking, Williams began her collegiate soccer career at Alcorn State. She competed in 31 matches over two seasons, making 29 starts. Williams logged 1,410 minutes in 2022, ranking her third on the team, and contributed a goal, 15 shots and seven shots on goal with the Braves.

Williams was an honor roll student at McNary High School where she was a four-year letterwinner in girls soccer and also lettered in track. She competed for three different club teams before college, with the Washington Timbers FC in 2020, CFC Zenith in 2019 and ODP in 2016.
