WASHINGTON – Riga Kallaba is awarded the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week after last week's action for Loyola Chicago women's soccer. It is her first career honor, and Loyola's first Rookie of the Week nod this season.
 
Kallaba made two appearances off the bench for the Ramblers, helping them to a 1-0-1 record and extend the unbeaten streak to five straight matches.
 
The Chicago native stepped up big for Loyola at Marquette. She netted her first career goal in the 67^th minute against the Golden Eagles. It was her only shot of the week and helped the Ramblers tie in their non-conference finale.
 
Kallaba and rest of the Loyola squad will continue on the road Sept. 20 with a 12 p.m. kickoff at Fordham to open A10 play.
